For years, I was my own worst boss. The kind who overworks, under-appreciates, and never quite sees your worth. But I’m here to share how I rewrote that narrative. This is my journey of becoming my own best friend—how I treat, hold, support, romance, and most importantly, love myself.

For the longest time (and far too long), I held this belief:

You can’t love yourself too much.

It felt… snobbish.

“Frais chié,” as we say in Québec.

Too much.

But for whom? For others. Always for others.

I believed:

• You’ll take up too much space.

• You’ll shine too brightly.

• You’ll ask for too much.

For others, for others, for others…

But here’s the thing: Who gave them that permission to shrink me?

I did.

And now?

I’m taking it back—one day at a time.

Not for them, but for me.

There is plenty of love for everyone.

There is plenty of space for everyone.
